Lisa Short is a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI) who specializes in trauma therapy, specifically Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). With a deep understanding of the impact of trauma on individuals, Lisa is dedicated to helping her clients heal and overcome their past experiences.
Lisa’s journey towards becoming a trauma therapist began with her own personal experiences. She witnessed the profound effects that trauma can have on one’s mental, emotional, and physical well-being, and felt compelled to make a difference in the lives of others who have faced similar challenges.
After obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Lisa pursued her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. Throughout her education and training, she developed a strong passion for trauma-focused therapies, particularly EMDR. This evidence-based approach has been proven to be highly effective in helping individuals process and heal from traumatic events.
